Now that Google plans to end support for Google Reader, are you worried about what Google service might be next on the chopping block?
When Google announced that they will be pulling the plug on Google Reader on July 1, long time Reader fans were understandably upset. To be sure, for Google the move makes a certain amount of sense. The service didn't have a lot of users (at least, from Google's perspective) and they are in the process of killing off extra services so they can focus better on core products. But in an interesting piece for the Washington Post, Ezra Klein argues that Google has created a new problem for itself?one of trust. The people who use these lesser-known services tend to be Google power users, the very same people who try out Google's new offerings first and decide whether they want to recommend them to others.
