Drydocks World and Maritime World Chairman, Khamis Juma Buamim chaired a meeting of Business Partners located within Jadaf Dubai and engaged in wide ranging maritime related business activities. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Buamim acknowledged the important role played by Jadaf Dubai in preserving the country?s maritime heritage and propagating business and trade.
The site, which is home to over 250 companies is a meeting point for the industry and is one of the key players within the Maritime World group contributing to enhanced productivity and efficiency within the Group.
?We have embarked on a restructuring programme of the administrative and technical components that will aid in distribution of functions and promote infrastructure development for improved cost and production efficiency. The new structure will be developed around a customer-focused approach and the primary aim will be to upgrade services by enlisting client feedback. It is our intention to develop local industry in the maritime sector that serves the country?s economic development,? Mr. Khamis Juma Buamim added.
He highlighted the importance of Occupational Health & Safety in all operations and preservation of the marine environment. The restructuring plan when implemented will improve absorptive capacity and stimulate business. A working group will be constituted to address pressing issues and further customer interests.
